Agh! Stoppit!
I enjoy receiving PM's on Vox from my neighbours, it's a nice quick way to contact each other for those times when a simple comment isn't enough, or more often, when the 'message' has absolutely nothing to do with Vox or blogging and may be on a more personal note. I usually receive and/or send a few each week.
I don't see anywhere within the various settings here on Vox where you can choose who to receive PM's from. It would be a nice feature considering that lately I've been getting "Spam" in my PM inbox. The one I've posted below is not the first and I seriously doubt that it will be the last. Each time I've gone to their (each spam has been from a different entity, selling a different product) Vox 'blog' there is nothing but a blank page. So these spammer types are just signing up for an account in order to spread the word about whatever it is they're flogging. I'm not a prude and it makes no difference to me what the spam is about, it's just that this one was the straw . . . . . .
I'm no Dvorak and I DO get spam, lots of it in my various email inboxes. I don't want to have to start dealing with it on the sites I use that have PM services available too!
The latest junk:
Comments
Here at Vox you actually have to register that prevents also at least some spam. Also there is a link where you could inform Vox of the "bad" blogger so his account get shut down.
That's bad K, you really ought to report it to Vox so that they can blast him into orbit!
I was getting comments (not PMs) from someone who I didn't know and didn't want to receive anything from as they spooked me a bit. I sorted it by excluding my posts from public view... can't remember now where the box is but it's somewheer in your profile. It might just work for the spam too.
